MedTrust Awarded $84.4 million Navy Nursing Contract
5 year contract to provide Nursing Service in the Western United States
SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS (November 19, 2012) - Medtrust L.L.C., a leading medical staffing company serving the greater San Antonio community, is being awarded a 60-month, firm-fixed-priced, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, multiple award task order contract for various nursing services by the U.S. Navy. These services include, but are not limited to, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and nurse practitioners. The aggregate not-to-exceed amount for these multiple award contracts combined is $84,473,938 and the company will have the opportunity to bid on individual task order.
Work will be performed at Naval Military Treatment Facilities and their associated branch clinics in the western United States to include: Naval Hospital Lemoore, Calif.; Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, Calif.; Naval Medical Center San Diego, Calif.; Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms, Calif.; Naval Branch Health Clinic Yuma, Ariz.; and Naval Branch Health Clinic Fallon, Nev., and work is expected to be completed by Feb. 28, 2019.
Funding is predominantly from the Defense Health Program; however, other funding initiatives such as Psychological Health/Traumatic Brain Injury, Overseas Contingency Operations and Wounded, Ill, and Injured may be used. The Naval Medical Logistics Command, Fort Detrick, Md., is the contracting activity.

MedTrust Awarded $87 million SAMMC Nursing Contract
San Antonio Staffing Firm to Place 275+ Full Time Jobs
SAN ANTONIO, TX (May 11, 2009) – After a rigorous, year-long competitive procurement process, MedTrust, a leading medical staffing company serving the greater San Antonio community, was awarded a three-year, $87 million contract by the United States Army’s Center for MEDCOM Contracting. The agreement calls for MedTrust to staff all registered nurse positions at the San Antonio Military Medical Center, more commonly known as the SAMMC.
Under terms of the contract, MedTrust will recruit and place personnel to perform approximately 500,000 hours of service over a three year period, beginning October 1, 2009. It’s the equivalent of 275 or more full time employees to meet the critically important medical needs of San Antonio-based military personnel and their families.
MedTrust’s President, Rick Martinez, who is himself a veteran and a Registered Nurse, remarked, “We are privileged at MedTrust, to be able to serve our soldiers and their families. We look forward to supporting BAMC and WHMC as they are transformed into the premier military medical establishment.”
The SAMMC is a newly created medical entity, the result of a merger of resources and facilities from Brooke Army Medical Center and Wilford Hall Medical Center. As part of the realignment, Brooke Army Medical Center will become the SAMMC’s inpatient tertiary care center, designated as SAMMC – North, while Wilford Hall Medical Center will be converted into a large ambulatory care center, known as SAMMC - South.

We service military and private facilities in 10 states, and this contract will allow us to add approximately 300 jobs to our home town.”
